Hearing HealthCare, Inc. Business Operations UPDATE, April 10, 2020

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic which has resulted in Governor Hogan’s “stay at home orders”, the team at Hearing HealthCare has determined it is in the best interest of our practice to temporarily scale back on employee staffing as of Monday, April 13th.

This will result in all emails, phone calls and patient interactions being handled by either Dr. Kristina Deak or Gina Trant, the Practice Manager, who are prepared to handle any administrative, audiological and hearing aid emergencies. This arrangement will remain in effect until we can return to normal business operations, which we are 100% confident we will do.

Gina and Kris will maintain the current operations:

  • Emergency curbside visits with an appointment
  • Mailing of supplies, batteries, accessories
  • Telehealth visits
  • responding to all email correspondence and phone messages

If you are experiencing an issue with your hearing aid, have questions, or need supplies, please feel free to call either location (301) 637-8032 (Wheaton) or (301) 637-4158 (Rockville) all calls are being forwarded to Gina’s cell phone, so she will be answering.

Beginning at 5:00pm on Friday, April 10 the contact email addresses will be krisdeak@hearinghealthcareinc.com or ginatrant@hearinghealthcareinc.com.

Hearing HealthCare, Inc. is making the following changes to their schedule to comply with the CDC’s guidelines of social distancing. We believe in not only being socially responsible, but also putting our patient’s safety and health first and foremost.

Effective March 20, 2020 through March 27, 2020 we are suspending all in-office patient visits. Our staff may still be working in the office, but the doors will be locked and walk-ins will not be permitted.

If you are experiencing a hearing aid emergency, for example your hearing aid has stopped working, please call our office at (301) 637-8032. We may be able to talk you through troubleshooting the issue or we may schedule you to come by the office for curbside service while you sit in your car. Curbside service will consist of troubleshooting the issue with the hearing aid itself. It will not include looking in ears, wax removal, hearing tests or adjusting your hearing aids.

Curbside service is solely for hearing aid emergencies and is by appointment only as the office may not be staffed every day.

Someone will be answering the phone throughout this time and we are available to mail you supplies and batteries. We want you to know that we are here for you during this difficult time as we know the importance of being able to communicate with friends and family.

We will re-evaluate the situation at the end of next week, and will post updated scheduling information on our website.
